Operation $summary trả về một IPS document Bundle cho một người bệnh từ dữ liệu mà máy chủ có quyền sử dụng, có thể bao gồm resource VN Core hoặc dữ liệu đã đồng bộ cho Sổ SKĐT. Đây là phép chuyển chiếu có kiểm soát sang profile IPS, không phải phép đổi mã tự động: mỗi mapping thuật ngữ và quy tắc chọn dữ liệu phải được version hóa, kiểm thử và công bố. OperationDefinition cục bộ này giữ code, hai URL và parameter contract của HL7 IPS $summary; canonical VN Core cho phép công bố thêm yêu cầu của triển khai Việt Nam.

Token định danh người bệnh theo cú pháp system|value khi không dùng logical id. Khi gọi [base]/Patient/$summary, requestor phải truyền parameter này; máy chủ chỉ hỗ trợ các identifier system đã công bố.

Canonical của Composition profile được yêu cầu cho patient summary. Máy chủ phải công bố các profile được hỗ trợ; nếu không hỗ trợ profile được yêu cầu, trả OperationOutcome phù hợp.

OUTreturn0..1Bundle

Document Bundle theo Composition profile được yêu cầu; mặc định triển khai VN Core trả VNCoreBundleIPS/VNCoreCompositionIPS khi đã công bố hỗ trợ. Bundle.type là document, entry đầu là Composition và các entry còn lại phải đáp ứng reference/profile/terminology rules áp dụng. Lỗi được trả bằng OperationOutcome theo FHIR Operations.

Hỗ trợ [base]/Patient/[id]/$summary và [base]/Patient/$summary?identifier=[system]|[value]. Với type-level URL, requestor phải truyền identifier. Kết quả là snapshot hiện hành theo quy tắc chọn dữ liệu đã công bố; operation không mặc nhiên tạo hoặc lưu một bản IPS lịch sử.
